Picture the scene. It’s 1969 and a group of teenage lads are grooving to soul and reggae at their favourite haunt, a now defunct Barnet dancehall called The Cha. Little did they know that more than half a century later, they’d still be best mates, and turning their passion for music into funds for Cherry Lodge. Cha Night was the brainchild of Keith ‘Dickie’ Finch and is now run by DJ’s Matt C and Keith Menezes, ably assisted by Dave Griffin (pictured left to right). The trio devote all funds raised to Cherry Lodge in memory of a late friend. “Cha Night is my passion,” says Keith. “It really is a great night – come and find out for yourself!”
